Graduate Profile 2023.pdf
Summary: A graduate profile is a set of skills, knowledge, and attributes that students are expected to have upon completing their high school education. It outlines the expectations for graduates and serves as a guide for curriculum development, teaching, and learning. Over the last year, we have solicited feedback from our community to analyze best and synthesize those skills we wish to prioritize and emphasize. To that end, we have created a document that highlights these skills to align our board goals, our educational plans, as well as our accreditation documents. Communication was gathered via in-person meetings, ThoughtExchange surveys, Family Partnership Council discussions, as well as student-led discussions. While these skills are not all-encompassing, they are representative of the skills we aspire to for all of our MVLA students. The MVLA graduate profile includes the following expectations for high school graduates: - Create Unique Pathways Toward Success - Deep Conceptual Understanding - Think Critically/Solve Problems Responsibly - Build and Maintain Diverse Collaborative Relationships - Build Resilience and Embrace Challenges - Contribute Ethically and Empathetically to Our Global Community By meeting these expectations, high school graduates are well-prepared to succeed in college, career, and life.
