On February 21, 2025, the California Department of Education issued a letter addressing the existing laws that prohibit discrimination or preferential treatment in public schools. These laws encompass various criteria, including race, ethnicity, nationality or immigration status, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation. Additionally, the Board of Trustees is presented with Resolution No. 24/25-38, which affirms the California Department of Education and Board Policy 0410 concerning nondiscrimination in district programs and activities for adoption. |
