Summary:
|
Mountain View Los Altos High School District is requesting Change Order #8A with Beals Martin be ratified:
- Provide and install a mullion mate (adjustable partition that creates a perfect transition between the window and partition walls) at the 500 wing staff restroom. This is needed to create a smooth transition between the ceiling and the storefront window above the door.
- Patch back openings in the walls where new electrical components are to be installed. This work is not shown on the project drawings and was unforeseen.
- Provide and install a strip of bronze aluminum metal on the south end of room 517 as there is a window that is located at the wall separating room 517 with the storage room. This material will be used to provide a cleaner look to not see the inside of the wall through the window.
- Provide and install a ceiling tile grid system in the storage rooms located in classrooms 501 through 508. This ceiling as originally to be a hard lid (fixed) ceiling with access panels. Due to the amount of items located above the ceiling there would be too many access panels in each of these closets. This WD also provides a credit to the district eliminating the framing and finishes of the hard lid ceiling from the scope of work.
- Fill in the low spots at the 500-dance studio in order to provide a completely flat surface. Currently there are several locations where the floor dips or is uneven.
- Remove floor protection installed at the beginning of the project utilizing the allowance A2- provide and install floor protection with the amount of $617.00 allocated in their base bid.
