Summary:
|
In accordance with Ed Code 56191 and the Northwest SELPA Local Plan, this item seeks approval for the appointment of an additional parent representative to the Community Advisory Committee (CAC). The appointed representative will serve as a liaison between parents and the SELPA, offering insights and advocating for the needs of students receiving special education services. MVLA currently has one parent representative on the CAC, and this appointment fulfills the NW SELPA Local Plan’s requirement for two parent representatives.
