Summary
:
The 2025 Education Enhancement Reserve Joint Powers Agreement (EER JPA) is a long-term partnership between the Shoreline Regional Park Community, Mountain View Whisman School District and the Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District. Its purpose is to provide ongoing, sustainable funding that supports the educational and technological capacity of students who reside in and serve the workforce needs of the Shoreline area. This agreement builds upon decades of collaboration and previous EER agreements.
Beginning in fiscal year 2025–26, the agreement outlines a structured payment system from the Shoreline Community to the school districts, including a baseline annual payment adjusted for property tax growth and an additional payment tied specifically to new residential development in the Shoreline area.
This updated agreement remains in effect through June 30, 2035, with provisions for potential extension.
Funding
:
Estimated payment for 2025-26 fiscal year is $4,847,095
