Summary
:
Mountain View Los Altos High School District is requesting Change Order #12A with Beals Martin be ratified:
- Provide and install an additional layer of sheetrock due to conflicting details on the plans. There is a detail that shows one layer of drywall for type F walls, which is the detail BMI bid to, and another detail which shows two layers of drywall on the west and south walls of the recording studio. The back boxes for the clock speaker and plugs were installed by the electrician to fit the double layer drywall elevation detail, but BMI only bid for one layer because that is what the detail for the wall type in this area showed on the plans. The back boxes cannot be adjusted for the single layer due to the way the boxes were framed. This cost is for an additional layer of drywall to account for the electrical back boxes.
