Summary:

Mountain View Los Altos High School District is requesting Change Order #1G with Walschon Fire Protection be ratified:
- Due to a conflict with the roof truss beams, the heating
ventilation & air conditioning duct work in the auxiliary gym
building must be modified (size of duct changed). As a result, the
fire protection pipe (sprinklers) will be re-routed and adjusted
accordingly. Branch line & headers will be added to provide
adequate coverage. The fire protection line will also be relocated
at the office and restroom to avoid conflict with the duct work and
light fixtures. An additional fire line and sprinkler heads will also
be furnished & installed.
- Relocate the point of connection approximately 1 foot away from
the unit to avoid a conflict with the heating ventilation and air
conditioning unit.
- There was a conflict with the pendent sprinkler and light as they
were both intended to be in the same location per plans.
Relocate to the next ceiling tile to avoid a conflict with the lights.
- The main fire sprinkler line is on the same elevation as the
heating ventilation and air conditioning system. Due to these
unforeseen conditions, relocation was required on two locations
to avoid conflicts with the unit.
