Summary
:
Mountain View Los Altos High School District is requesting Change Order #11A with Sausal Corporation be ratified:
- Provide labor and materials to rework the metal stud framing at door opening #201A as needed to change the double doors to a single door due to unforeseen issues with the jamb studs on either side of the hallway that will not allow for the required clearance for double doors.
- Provide and install an additional lifeline/hoist beam in the elevator shaft that was not shown in the contract drawings or required by DSA but is a requirement of Kone Elevator.
- Remake door frames at (3) locations due to conflicts with the curtain wall end studs at doors 229A & 241A and unforeseen issues with the jamb studs at door 201A that required the door to be changed from a double to a single door. Contractor shall ensure expedited fabrication and shipment of materials to avoid schedule delays.
- Provide and install approx. 144 LF of additional metal trim at the bottom of the rigid insulation on the south side of the building (GL D) that was not shown on the contract drawings.
- Provide an additional labor and equipment mobilization to come back and complete plaster & drywall after door frames are installed and scaffolding is removed. This will allow plastering to continue at all other areas of the building now with the remaining areas being completed at a later date which is imperative for keeping the building completion on schedule.
- Provide a 10-man window glazing crew on Saturday, March 25 as needed to maintain the project schedule and continue with interior drywall taping. The District and Contractor have each agreed to cover 50% of the total cost for Saturday labor.
