Summary:

The MVLA Equity Alliance Steering Committee is seeking a professional facilitator and training to support this committee to start off successfully and begin tackling our goals and seek approval to enter into an agreement with Pacific Educational Group for the services of Luis Virsalles.
The Pacific Educational Group (PEG) is dedicated to helping school districts address racial disparities intentionally, explicitly, and comprehensively. PEG engages educational partners in sustained alliances to transform beliefs, behaviors, and results that enable people of ALL races, cultures, and languages to achieve at their highest levels and live their most empowered and powerful lives.
From January - June 2021, our work with PEG will include a 2-full day training on Courageous Conversations. We can have up to 80 participants in this training. So beyond the 32 Equity Steering Committee attendees, we would also like to invite site and district administrators, site leadership teams, and also offer an invitation to our Board members.
In addition to this training, PEG will facilitate our monthly 2-hour Steering committee meeting. With the support of PEG, we will begin developing and accelerating the district’s capacity to engage in systemic equity transformation and eliminate racial disparities.
