Summary:
|
Mountain View Los Altos High School District is requesting Change Order #7A with Beals Martin be ratified:
- Contractor to remove ground water or surface water (de-watering) from slab and construction site as needed so work can proceed.
- In order to avoid additional material price increase contractor has ordered the coiling doors prior to original schedule. Additional cost to store the material for a few months until building is ready.
- During construction, the DSA Inspector of Record found 2 existing locations on the path of travel that require repair to meet DSA requirements. At one of the locations, a ramp with handrails on both sides is required. Contractor shall furnish & install hot dipped galvanized handrails.
- Per District request, contractor shall furnish & install 2 additional crosscourt volleyball courts along with all the associated material. Cost includes sleeves, nets, posts & safety wrap, as-well as floor striping.
- During construction the framer brought up a few issues with the soffit framing at the eaves, such as length of joist (structural members) and potentially deforming due to its length and running parallel with the building. After site meetings and further discussions with design team, the orientation changed, and the framing was installed perpendicular to the building. Soffit panels at the eaves cover the framing and are also installed perpendicular to building. Due to this change Contractor shall furnish and install approximately 2000 linear feet of flat straps (backer plate to support elements installed to metal or wood framing), to install and secure soffit panels all around the building.
- Contractor shall provide one set of ND96RD door hardware for janitor closet, prepare door and install per request for information 208. Original hardware was incorrect and not suitable for a closet.
