Summary:

The Governing Board of the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District must advise the county registrar of the district's desire to participate in the consolidated election on November 5, 2024. The board must specify rules for candidates statements, and how the winner will be determined in the event of a tie vote in the November 5, 2024, election.
Resolution No. 23/24-58 requests consolidation within the county election, and states that candidates must limit their statements to 200 words and that the cost of printing, translating and distributing said statements shall be borne equally by the candidate and district. Further, the resolution stipulates that candidates who file such statements pay in advance his or her pro rata share of the estimated costs of printing, handling, and mailing said candidate statement, (such estimated costs to be determined by the Registrar of Voters).
