Summary:
|
To continue to support our students' mental health, MVLA will continue to contract with Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC). In the 2022-2023 school year, we will contract for the same number of CHAC staffing as 2021-2022. The proposed 2022-2023 services includes six Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT). Two will support Los Altos High School, two at Mountain View High School, one at Alta Vista High School and one at Middle College. The roles of CHAC therapists will be to provide short-term 1:1 counseling, supporting and facilitating small group student therapy/discussions, and drop-in crisis support. In addition, our MOU with CHAC will provide us with a Clinical Supervisor & Campus Coordination, which provides licensed supervision for the CHAC AMFTs.

The budget increase of $38,637 is driven by competition in the marketplace for mental health clinicians.
