Summary:
|
Los Altos High School (LAHS) is requesting approval for two new courses:
- Fashion Design (CTE Course): This course is proposed as part of a new Fashion and Interior Design CTE Pathway. It will serve as the connector course in this pathway, fulfilling the a-g requirements and meeting the Visual and Performing Arts credit.
- Creative Writing (Elective): LAHS is also requesting approval for Creative Writing as a new elective course. Taught by instructors holding English/ELA credentials, this course will provide students with a-g English credit.
These additions are designed to expand students' academic and creative opportunities at LAHS.
Mountain View High School (MVHS) is requesting approval for one new course:
- Integrated Science II: Integrated Science II will continue to follow the NGSS standards and provide language support for science students in the ELD program. Students can take Integrated Science 1, Integrated Science 2, or both courses (in any sequence). This course will replace the existing "Pre-Biology."
