Schools that receive Title I, Part A funds operate one of two programs:
Schoolwide Program (SWP); or
Targeted Assistance School (TAS) program.
AVHS uses Title I to support their Schoolwide Program. For the 2021-22 school year, AVHS had less than 40 percent of its students from low-income families. AVHS is still able to operate a schoolwide program under this section, but because we are under 40 percent, the school board needs to approve a waiver and submit it to the State. Submitted is our Title I waiver for Board approval, so we can continue to implement the Schoolwide program at AVHS. |
