Summary:
|
Mountain View Los Altos High School District is requesting Change Order #17A with Sausal Corporation be ratified:
- Cost to fix plaster soffit control joints due to backing not shown
on drawings or layout. The plaster soffit control joint was
repaired on all buildings with control joint run perpendicular to
framing using a 6” 16GA metal plate installed over Densglass
for additional support. This was most cost effect remedy.
- Due to space constraints above the ceiling on the 2nd floor of the
2-story Classroom Building, (5) access panels were added to
the ceiling to provide access to wiring and junction boxes. The
ceiling needed to be reworked due to the limited space with
existing mechanical, plumbing, electrical utilities, and additional
access panels required.
- To meet site conditions in the 2nd floor of the 2-story Classroom
Building, additional framing and drywall soffits were needed for
a ceiling and duct height conflict in Rooms #202 & #206. Also,
the ceiling was lowered in room #201 for ductwork placement.
- Revised and added door hardware from CCD due to removed
door cores added back per ASI #11.0. This ASI added Plan
sheet A-8.1., and Door hardware spec. 08 7100.
- Lime treated soil excavation due to changes in soil placement
per geotechnical consultant recommendations. Soil at bid set
was listed as native and changed to lime treated soil, per District
request. Final cost negotiated and from estimate at $42,902.86.
- Using $30,000.00 of Allowance item A6 -- Additional repair work
required on wall and canopies of Locker Room. Price includes
removing trophy case, infill, stucco on exterior walls. Damaged
roof trim was removed and patched. Due to the extensive
damage, cost exceeded allowance cap by $1,464.10.
- Cost Increase from ordering the kitchen equipment in 2021 that
resulted in delays due to covid. Original contract for equipment
was from 2020 and there is a cost delta between the years due
to production cost increases and changes to previous models
specified based on availability.
- Added scope to demo existing roof required to install new curb
and pan deck penetrations, insulation, and sheet metal to set
condensing unit on roof of Gym for the mini split unit install by
Marina mechanical.
