Summary:

Mountain View Los Altos High School District is requesting approval of Change Order #7A with Beals Martin:
- Fireproofing specification was not included in the project manual at bid time, therefore the cost to fireproof the columns and beams at specified locations were not included in the contractors bid. Apply intumescent fireproofing at steel columns and beams. Cost includes primer (20 gallons), intumescent paint (132 gallons) and top coat (15 gallons) as well as labor.
- To improve soundproofing, the door hardware was revised to include alternate door seals and automatic door bottom for 14 doors. Furnish and install all accessories. Additional cost is the delta between the original hardware and the revised.
- To improve soundproofing, door seals and hardware changed. With this change the aluminum interior frame door stops (blade style type compatible with the new door seals) were also added. Contractor shall furnish and install door stop assembly for 14 doors.
- Credit for Hufcore partitions, they are no longer available per manufacturer.
- Finalized furniture layout has been coordinated with bid drawings, due to a few changes to the layout, and the following work is deleted; 1 window and a mecho shade is removed from assistant principal room (A235), and 36 square feet tackable and projectable panel is removed from attendance (A131). Contractor shall provide credit for deleted work. |
