Summary:
|
Every ten years, a nationwide census is taken as mandated by the U. S. Constitution. Data gathered is used to determine the number of congressional members each state has in the House of Representatives; to redraw state and local district lines; and determine federal program funding allocations for education, schools, and other programs that benefit and keep our communities healthy and safe. Mountain View Los Altos High School District and its' Board of Trustees support participation in the 2020 Census to ensure an accurate accounting of the population in order to determine appropriate federal program funding for education, schools, and other programs that benefit all living within our communities. |
